To determine which executives to honor, HDM solicited nominations from its readers.

HDM editors then submitted their own recommendations, based on their knowledge of the industry. The editorial staff then reviewed each candidates’ qualifications and decided on the final list.
The list is composed of women working in HIT within three categories:
• Healthcare IT executives working at healthcare provider organizations.
• Healthcare IT thought leaders.
• Healthcare IT vendor executives.
Honorees will be recognized May 17 at a daylong event, “The Most Powerful Women in Healthcare IT,” in Boston.
